A place where tea lovers can rejoice and call home

There is no trouble so great or grave that cannot be much
diminished by a nice cup of tea.  ~Bernard-Paul Heroux

To the dismay of tea lovers everywhere, there’s a coffee shop — or two — on every corner. Order tea in a coffee joint, and the best you’ll get — if you’re lucky — is a meek selections of herbals, or perhaps green straight up.

Most of the time, tea drinkers have to suck it up and settle for black tea, with the only variety being decaf or regular.

Well, that’s a thing of the past thanks to Sally Lunn’s Tea Room located in Chester (15 Perry St.) and Chatham (9b Roosevelt Ave. in the William Pitt Town Square).

At Lunn’s, the passion of tea is evident in the extensive, glorious selections, both loose and in bags. As an added bonus, there are amazing desserts and their famous scones to complement your cherry rose green tea or Dragon Moon Blend.

There are over 50 teas on the menu. And carry-out tins to take home. The staff is a fountain of knowledge and can guide your through the varieties, and give you the scoop on how to go loose.

But most tea lovers know what they want — and have an inkling which way to turn on the experimentation quest.

Know an cool place to eat or shop? Know a special deal or coupon? Comment & let us know so we can share it with everyone.

Get a massage and help fight breast cancer

In a perfect world, massages would be covered by health insurance and anyone could schedule a session anytime pain, stress and aches got overwhelming.

But this is the real world, and even if a rub-down is just what the doctor ordered, it’s almost always an out-of-pocket expense.

Anyone who’s ever had a full body massage knows it’s practically a cure-all, and it’s an expense worth budgeting every once in a while. A good massage can alleviate back and joint pain, stretch weak muscles, enhance the immune system, reduce spasms … the list goes on and on.

Still. It’s another expense. And who has extra money?

Well, how about this. How about a discounted massage where part of the money benefits the Susan G. Komen for the Cure? Message Envy is hosting Massage for the Cure on Sept. 14. A 50-minute massage is $49, and $15 goes to the Komen Foundation to fight breast cancer.

Get a choice of Swedish, hot stone, trigger point, deep tissue, facial, sports, reflexolgy or Cranial Sacral. There are locations throughout the state and you can sign-up online at www.massageenvy.com.

In Morris County, locations include Chester, Florham Park, Rockaway and Morris Plains.
