If you’ve ever thought of getting hair extensions, now might be the time to experiment – and add a burst of color as well.

Donate $10 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation Oct. 1 through Oct. 31, and Laboratory Hair Studio, 4 Dehart St., Morristown will give you a free pink hair extension as part of the Pink Hair for Hope campaign. No appointment is necessary.

The Laboratory Hair Studio team will also be on hand to add pink hair extensions at their booth at the annual Morristown Festival on the Green on Sunday, Oct. 3 from 12 to 5 p.m.

The service includes the application and removal of one SO.CAP.USA pink hair extension with 100% of the donations given to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Mark your calendar for Sept. 25, Smithsonian Magazine’s 6th annual Museum Day.

Museum of Early Trades & Crafts in Madison

There are 1,000 museums participating nationwide. In Morris County, there are three, and in the state, another seven.  Stay local, or venture out and explore.

Passes can be downloaded  at the Smithsonian’s website and you have to bring it with you to gain free access. This is good for Sept. 25 only. Each pass covers two people and there is a limit of one pass per family.

In Morris County, visit Acorn Hall  in Morristown; Museum of Early Trades & Crafts in Madison; and The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms in Morris Plains.

Elsewhere in the state: American Labor Museum in Haledon; Cornelius Low House / Middlesex County Museum in Piscataway; East Jersey Olde Towne Village in Piscataway; the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum in New Brunswick; the Newark Museum in Newark; the Old Barracks Museum in Trenton; The Historic Village at Allaire in Farmingdale; and the USGA Museum and Arnold Palmer Center for Golf History  in Far Hills.
